Hey there Renee,
Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with your question! It's always a pleasure to get to answer a question from a fellow Arizonan.
How fun that you get to plan a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth for you and your son - and even better that it'll be here in just a few short weeks.
The good news is that if these are
standard park tickets then the name on the tickets is more for organizational purposes. They do not need to say the name of the person who will end up using them. Instead, when you first scan your ticket to enter a park, you'll have a quick picture taken which will then be associated with your ticket for its duration and that is what officially assigns a ticket to a specific Guest.
If you would still like to have the name changed, you can
call a Cast Member at the Tickets line who should be able to help.
As you continue to plan, make sure to also set up your
park reservations for each day you plan to visit! This is another important step in planning your upcoming trip as you currently need both a valid theme park ticket and a park reservation to enter the parks. My preferred place to do this is through the
My Plans hub on the Disneyland Resort website.
Additionally, be sure to note any extra details about your tickets that might be important for your visit. For example, if they're promotional tickets, make sure you'll be able to use them based on the Important Details section of the ticket. If they're a 1-day ticket then make sure they're the correct tier for the date you want to visit - you'll be able to confirm this when you're trying to set up your park reservation. If you run into any issues or confusion with either of these then again, reaching out to a Cast Member and the number linked above is your best bet.
Thanks again for your question, Renee! I hope you and your son have a great time on your upcoming visit.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
