Hi Courtney! We are planning our first DisneyWorld trip and I was wondering if you think it is better to plan on your own or use a travel agent? While I enjoy saving money (who doesn't?) I don't have the time or patience to scour for the best deal.

    Hi, Amanda!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for your great question. Like you, I love a good deal as much as the next traveler and enjoy researching for my vacations, but I don't have a lot of time or patience for intense bargain-hunting. When I planned my family's first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort, I did use a travel agent and booked a travel package that included airfare, hotel accommodations and theme park tickets. The agency I used didn't charge a fee, and we got free perks and fun extras for booking through her company. Personally, I liked the peace of mind that came with knowing if any last-minute issues were to come up (particularly with our flights) we had someone to handle it for us. Be sure to look for a reputable travel agent whose agency comes well-recommended.

I hope this helps, Amanda. Have a perfectly pixie-dusted visit to Walt Disney World, and please feel free to ask me any other questions you may have as your planning continues!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
