Hi, Nancy!
I’m so happy you’re planning a visit to the Disneyland Resort! You’re going to fall in love with the history and charm of The Happiest Place on Earth.
Plaza Inn at Disneyland Park is the home of one of my favorite quick-service meals, the fried chicken! In addition to the famous chicken, they also serve pot roast, pasta, and a selection of decadent desserts.
Jolly Holiday Bakery Café has a tasty selection of hot and cold sandwiches served on fresh bread, salads, and a favorite of mine, the tomato basil soup. Try a Matterhorn Mountain-shaped macaroon or one of the specialty cupcakes for dessert.
French Market Restaurant is a great option because of its generous portions and Cajun and creole-inspired food. Just adjacent to this restaurant is the Mint Julep Bar, where you can sample the signature drink of New Orleans Square and an order of Mickey-shaped beignets!
At Disney California Adventure Park, be sure to try Flo’s V8 Café in Cars Land. My go-to meal is one of the home-style rotisserie plates. The décor is inspired by the drive-up diners along Route 66 and features a spectacular view of cars speeding by on the Radiator Springs Racers attraction!
Stop by Pacific Wharf Cafe for a freshly-baked sourdough bread bowl filled with clam chowder or creamy broccoli and cheese soup. Just a few steps away is Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop, where you can indulge in a sweet treat to top off your meal!
My son loves Taste Pilots' Grill, which serves gourmet burgers, ribs and chicken sandwiches along with chicken breast nuggets and mini burgers for kids. This 1950s hanger-themed restaurant is an authentic hut constructed of corrugated steel and decorated with real pictures and schematics from NASA!
I hope this helps, Nancy. Bon appetit!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
