Hi Courtney! We have booked the WOC DIning Package at CC for our upcoming trip! I was wondering how it works with a picky 11 year old. Do they need to order from the adult menu? Any "can't miss" snacks that are unique to DLR?

    Hi, Jodie!

I’m happy you reserved Carthay Circle Restaurant’s World of Color dining package! Not only will you get a delicious meal in an elegant setting, but you’ll also be guaranteed some of the best spots available for Disney California Adventure Park’s nighttime water spectacular. Although the kids menu is only for children ages 3 to 9, the restaurant is very accommodating and will modify or simplify many menu items. Speak to your server about what options might be available to suit your child’s specific tastes.

Here are some of my favorite sweet and savory snacks around the Disneyland Resort theme parks.

-Bengal Barbecue’s Skewers: This small, counter service restaurant tucked in Adventureland serves up skewers of beef, chicken, veggies and bacon-wrapped asparagus smothered in tantalizing sauces.

-Mickey-shaped Beignets at the Mint Julep Bar in New Orleans Square: Nothing goes better with these powdered sugar-covered, doughnut-like treats than a Mint Julep to drink!

-Hand-Dipped Ice Cream Bars at Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream: You start by choosing an ice cream flavor (vanilla bean, chocolate or berry sorbet) and then select your dip (dark or milk chocolate). The topping choices are chocolate chips, confetti Mickeys, rainbow sprinkles and blue raspberry bursts, or you can order “The Whole Herd!”

-Dill Pickle Popcorn at the Cozy Cone Motel: Two specialty popcorn flavors are featured daily and include choices like nacho cheese, sweet and spicy, and salt and vinegar in addition to dill pickle. Wash it all down with a cold cup of Doc’s Wild Grape Tonic, a beverage exclusive to Cars Land.

I hope this helps, Jodie, and that you have a perfectly pixie-dusted Disneyland Resort visit!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
