We are just a couple of weeks from our vacation. When do you suggest we checkin? Should we wait until we are closer to the date? Does it make a difference? Thanks for all your help! You guys are the best!

    Hi, Shirley!

For me, I always start the Resort Online Check-In as soon as it is available at 60 days prior to my check in date. With your arrival date approaching, I would be sure to complete this step as soon as possible, to ensure that you don't miss the deadline and have the best opportunity to have your "home" in an area of the resort and building that you find most comfortable.

Cast Members assure that Online Check-in doesn't have a specific time when it should be completed to have your request honored, but to help them prioritize all of the requests of each guest, I would have this done at least 2-4 weeks before your arrival, if possible.

If you don't have a particular area of the Resort that you want to stay, having this feature completed at the last minute, a couple days before your arrival is okay. You'll still receive your resort room number via text and email the day of check-in!

Resort Online Check-In is my favorite! Being able to head straight to the parks or Disney Springs and then having a text message and email sent with my resort room number tops my list for staying at a Walt Disney World Resort!

    Happy planning, Shirley!
