I am going in a couple weeks to Disney with my 3 yr old daughter and 17 mo old son and husband. I know we are going to Magic Kingdom one day, but not sure what's the best park for the 2nd day. We will only be there for 2 days! Any advice?

Hi Kathryn...love your name as mine is spelled exactly the same!

It is always hard to suggest the different parks to families as our family enjoys them all.  No matter what ages we have with us we can find fun in each one.

When I have to choose one it is the Animal Kingdom park for the little ones.  There are many things to do in this park besides attractions and the natural draw of animals to children makes this a great spot to spend a day. The Safari ride is a must as well as the Lion King Show and the two trails, Pangani and Maharajah Jungle Trek. Another popular show is Finding Nemo and there is an area called the Boneyard which is one big playground for the kids.  One of the often forgotten places is Rafiki's Planet Watch.  This area is only accessible by train which in itself is fun for the kids. Once there they can enjoy the Affection Section animal encounter area (goats, sheep, pigs etc), the vet clinic, hands on computer link ups, meeting special animal guests, and many more activities.

If you want to start your day with a character breakfast I suggest Donald's Safari Breakfast at the Tusker House restaurant.  For a quick service meal location that is always a must for our family try the Flametree Barbecue.  Once you get your food take the path down towards the lake to enjoy a shady and relaxing lunch.

When you enter the park check out the character greeting times as I have found that the lines in this park can be much shorter then in some of the other park locations.
