Lisa, in less than a month you will be sailing with pirates, zooming down Space Mountain, and eating Mickey ice cream!
Late September is one of the best times to visit Walt Disney World. The high humidity and heat of summer are over, but the weather is still warm enough for swimming and water parks. Expect temperatures in the 80's during the day with nights around 70. Crowds tend to be low in the early fall because most families are reluctant to pull their children out of school so soon after settling in for a new year.
DisneyQuest is a video gaming center on steroids. Virtual attractions, arcade type games, an Animation Academy, and more are found in this five story building in Downtown Disney. Create your own roller coaster, play an enormous version of Mighty Ducks pinball, take a virtual Jungle Cruise or ride on Aladdin's Carpet, learn animation techniques from a live instructor, and battle villains in 3-D. This spot is a good choice if you want an alternative to the parks one afternoon.
Currently there is no way to request the opportunity to test out the new Magic Bands, but perhaps you will be one of the lucky ones selected to try out the new technology.
