Hi there! I have a couple of questions: My friends told me that Jiko is equally fun experience for both kids & adults. What stuff do they have that makes it fun for kids to dine? And, what are the complimentary food items they have at MVMCP? Thanks!

Joyce, be prepared to be astounded by the holiday decorations at Walt Disney World. Hundreds of Christmas trees, thousand of poinsettias, and zillions of lights create a fantastical wonderland you won't find anywhere else on the planet.

Jiko is on my list of favorite Disney restaurants. The decor features sculpted birds soaring from the ceiling, lighting that changes to mimic the African sunset, and a fabulous open kitchen that wow you when you take your first step in the door. The innovative cuisine and extensive South African wine list wow you when as soon as you open your menu. My children adore the giant hidden Mickey on the ceiling, the goldfish crackers and celery, carrot, and peanut butter starters, and seeing the sous chefs in action at the cooking counter. While kid friendly, this signature restaurant has no characters, servers that could pass as stand up comics, or crazy games. I would absolutely reccomend this spot to families with children and have taken my kids here when they were small enough for a high chair. Just know that Jiko is not your typical theme park restaurant, but offers a quieter, more sophisticated dinning experience than 'Ohana or Chef Mickey's. After your fabulous meal head upstairs for a look at African safari animals roaming the resort grounds.

At Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, enjoy hot cocoa, apple juice, apple slices, and cookies. Typically snicker doodles and sugar cookies are your sweet treat choices along with a gluten free cookie option. Look for the giant lighted candy canes when hunger strikes.
