Hey there, hi there, Claudia! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy that you've stopped by with such a great vacation planning question. I love chatting Disney with my pals, pal!
The nighttime spectaculars at the theme parks are my favorite entertainment at Walt Disney World Resort and are not to be missed, no matter how many times I visit. They're the perfect, pixie-dusted way to end a fun-filled, magical day in the parks. I'm so excited for you to experience the magic in just a few months, and I'm thrilled to help you find your practically perfect viewing spots!
When talking about nighttime spectaculars, we have to start with
Disney Enchantment at Magic Kingdom Park. This incredible, magical show consists of fireworks, a beautiful projection show on Cinderella Castle and oh-so-fun projections down Main Street, U.S.A. My favorite way to watch is while sipping wine and sampling sweet treats at one of the fabulous
Magic Kingdom 50th Fireworks Dessert Parties, but if this Enchanting Extra isn't in your plans, Hakuna Matata! It means "no worries!" There are countless great spots to catch the fireworks. My favorite way to catch the show is with a great view of the projections on Cinderella Castle, but just be aware that you will have to find a spot about an hour before showtime to grab a great center view in the hub with no trees obstructing your view. If you don't want to arrive early, try to grab a spot on the bridge from the hub into Tomorrowland or catch the show with the projections on Main Street, U.S.A. from the back of Main Street. The magic is here!
My absolute favorite nighttime spectacular is
Harmonious at EPCOT. It is stunning, and the soundtrack is moving and the absolute best! While there are no bad views around World Showcase Lagoon, my favorite view is from the Italy or Japan pavilions. Here, you get a perfect view of the center, circular floating fountain screen, and you can even see Beacons of Magic on Spaceship Earth in the background from across the Lagoon while you wait for the show to start! It makes for some really great photo opportunities!
Speaking of
Beacons of Magic, these beautiful nighttime shows take place at all four of the theme parks, but be sure not to miss the show on the Tree of Life at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. It's gorgeous, and it's pretty easy to just walk up and find a great view of the Tree during the show. The same is true for catching the shimmering show on the Hollywood Tower Hotel at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Enjoy the bright lights of Hollywood!
For the best view of the
Wonderful World of Animation at Disney's Hollywood Studios, I recommend grabbing a spot as close to the center of the Chinese Theatre as possible. We have watched this great show, celebrating the magic of Disney and Pixar animation, from a side view many times, and while we still enjoyed our view and the show, I find that the best views are from as close to Center Stage as possible. May we never lose sight of the fact that it was all started by a mouse!
I hope this was helpful, Claudia, and I hope you have the most magical views of the nighttime shows at The Most Magical Place on Earth! Please stop by any time with any questions you may have along the way. You've got a friend in me!
See ya real soon,
Mandy
