We are a couple, and are considering arriving June 1st 2015, and leaving June 9th . What are your feelings on that week in general, (temperature, crowd size)?

    Matthew:

The sooner in the summer you can get to Disney World the better. I've been to Disney over the Memorial Day Weekend as well as late-June, and although the Florida heat is nothing to ignore, both the weather and the crowds were definitely more manageable than July and early-August that see temps hover in the 90's and sometimes top 100 degrees. You'll also find the crowds still manageable until Father's Day as many school up north do not get out as early as those in the south which greatly affects crowds in the summer.

You can't mention the weather and Disney World without talking about the occasional afternoon summer shower. Save some money and buy your ponchos at home and bring them to the parks either to tote individually in fanny-packs or in a backpack stored in a locker. When others are dashing to leave the park, you can continue your day.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
