We are counting down the days to our first visit. There is seven or us in our group. Is there anything I need to know about booking things for a large group. Thanks.

    Hi Cynthia:

    Congratulations on your upcoming visit.

Travel parties with at least 8 guests over the age of 3 staying at a Walt Disney World Resort may purchase a Magical Gatherings vacation package and work with a Magical Gatherings specialist to coordinate accommodations, dining and recreation reservations and other experiences. There are also Grand Gathering dining and entertainment options available to groups of 8 or more. However, even though your party is 7 people, you can still enjoy dining, recreation and other experiences. Simply call 407-WDW-DINE for dining reservations or 407-WDW-PLAY to reserve recreational experiences.

If you haven't booked accommodations yet, look at Disney Deluxe Villas that can sleep up to 8-9 guests. You can also ask to reserve connecting rooms at the moderate and value Resorts.

Since this is a first visit, remember to check in at City Hall at the Magic Kingdom, or at guest relations at other parks, and pick up "first-visit" buttons. Many Cast Members will go out of their way to wish you and your party well, or greet you all with a kind gesture to make the visit more memorable.

    Enjoy your vacation.
