Do counter service locations in the parks leave their indoor dining areas open past their stated closing time if guests are still finishing their meals? Or would we be asked to leave at closing? And how close to closing time do they accept orders?

Welcome to planDisney, Alicia and thanks for dropping by with your question!

Whether savory or sweet, salty or spicy, I LOVE talking about all of the food options at the Walt Disney World Resort and hope I can be of assistance. Alicia, typically both Quick-Service and Table-Service restaurants will stay open after park close to allow guests to finish their meals (within reason). For example, this summer my family and I had a dinner reservation at Be Our Guest Restaurant at Magic Kingdom Park approximately 20 minutes before park close and ended up leaving the restaurant approximately an hour after park close. While Quick-Service meals tend to be consumed a bit faster, you are still welcome to sit and finish your meal (again, within reason).

Now, while I have managed to catch the pretzel cart with seconds to spare, I encourage you to be at any Quick-Service restaurant 15 minutes prior to park close to ensure you're able to place your order. I also recommend taking advantage of Mobile Order. You'll find most Quick-Service menu options through the My Disney Experience Mobile App on your smartphone and can easily place your order. You can even order in advance and then just select the latest pick up time.

Alicia, I hope this helps as you're planning out your Disney dining! If you have any other questions or needs recommendations (psst... Satu'li Canteen at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park is one of my favorites), come on back to planDisney.
