Mom And Daughter Resort Room

Mike Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

At the counter service, how do I know exactly what is included in a meal plan and what is not (ie do I get a soup and a sandwich with dessert or only 2 of the 3.) How do I make sure things came off my meal plan and were not charged to my credit card?

    Hi, Mike!

I know the Disney Dining Plan sounds complicated, but it really is very easy and the Cast Members make it even easier!  When you walk up to a Quick Service location to order, the first thing the Cast Member will ask is if you are on the Dining Plan.  They are so used to it, and are happy to assist you.  With each Quick Service meal, you will get to choose one entrée.  This can be anything from a burger and fries to rotisserie chicken with mashed potatoes to a pizza with a salad.  It just depends on the restaurant.  If you see what I call a "combo meal" this would be your entrée.  Add to that a soft drink and a dessert.

In lieu of paying, you will give your Key to the World card.  You will get a receipt showing what you ordered along with how many credits you used for that transaction (for example, 4 Quick Service credits used if your party of 4 each ordered lunch).  The receipt will also show how many credits you have remaining.

Your receipt will show you used credits and did not charge your meal to your room.  If you want, keep your receipts just as a double-check.

If you have additional questions about the Disney Dining Plan, let me know!  I have used the Dining Plan many times and can give you more information or dining suggestions if needed.  Good luck planning your magical WDW vacation!
