Hello, Fiona!
I'm glad you sent your question to planDisney. Your cruise is only a couple of weeks away, which means it is time to start packing! This helpful
packing guide is perfect for catching those last-minute items that are easy to overlook. I tend to pack everything but the kitchen sink when I'm sailing on a Disney Cruise. A girl needs options!
I love that you are already thinking about paying gratuities! Crew Members on a Disney Cruise always make my family's trips extra magical, and I love showing our appreciation through gratuities. I also like taking care of them ahead of time so I can focus on enjoying our cruise.
Most Guests can
pre-pay gratuities on the Disney Cruise Line website up to three days before their sailing. First, log in to your account on the website. At the top of the page, hover over "Already Booked" and select "My Reservations." Scroll down until you find "Add Prepaid Gratuities."
If you aren't seeing this option, it may be because prepaid gratuities are not available for your reservation. This can happen if a Travel Agent booked your cruise, and in that case, you will need to work with them to add prepaid gratuities. Also, both Concierge Staterooms and Guaranteed Staterooms with Restrictions often don't show an online option to prepay gratuities. If any of this applies to your reservation, I suggest
calling Disney Cruise Line to discuss your choices. You can also just wait to have the gratuities added to your stateroom folio once onboard the ship.
I recommend downloading the
Navigator app now if you haven't done so already. It contains many helpful features that you can use during your sailing, such as
rotational dining information, daily activity schedules, and the onboard chat, which is a great way to stay in touch with the rest of your family on the cruise.
Fiona, have a most wonderful voyage! Do not hesitate to contact planDisney again if you need additional information.
Happy sailing!
Jen
