Since we couldn't book character dining on my son's 5th b-day, I decided to check out dining shows. There is seating at both the Hoop-Dee-Doo and Spirit of Aloha Shows. Is either of these more suited to my family of 3 young boys? 2, 4/5, 7 years old.

    Hi Candice!

I would definitely pick the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue at Fort Wilderness.  It's a lot of fun for the whole family.  My youngest son, age 7, has been there several times and he has always enjoyed every visit.  My wife and I personally prefer it as well.

I think the best night to enjoy the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue is on a night that you are visiting the Magic Kingdom.  That's because there's a boat that runs almost every 20 minutes between the Magic Kingdom and Fort Wilderness; it's a fun and relaxing boat ride.  The boat dock at Fort Wilderness is only a few minutes away from Pioneer Hall, the location of the revue.  Afterward, you can head back to the Magic Kingdom or just return to your resort hotel via Disney transportation.

I hope this helps!  Write back if you have any more questions!
