Ahoy, Diexia! Thanks for bringing your Disney Cruise Line question over to planDisney about the
stateroom configurations onboard the Disney Dream.
The sofa beds aboard the
Disney Dream cannot be moved. Due to the natural motion of the sailing ship, the furniture is secured for guest safety and you cannot rearrange the layout of your stateroom. Your stateroom host or hostess can convert the sofa to a sofa bed every evening if you will be using it for one of the members of your sailing party; however, it physically takes up the exact same space in both sofa and bed form.
The two stateroom numbers you mentioned, 5018 and 6012, are both Deluxe Family Oceanview Staterooms in Category 8A, which means that they feature two large porthole windows and offer more space (241 square feet) than the regular Deluxe Oceanview Staterooms (204 square feet). Those two particular staterooms feature a bathroom with a shower only rather than the typical shower/tub combination, which is what makes them more accessible.
If you or another member of your sailing party has accessibility needs, then I recommend calling Disney Cruise Line directly to determine what accessible stateroom options are available for your desired itinerary and sailing dates. You can also contact
Special Services at (407) 566-3602 or specialservices@disneycruise.com to determine what other accommodations may be available. The most recent policies and offerings are also available in the “Guests with Disabilities and/or Medical Conditions” document located
here.
I hope you are able to find the perfect stateroom to meet your needs and will be setting sail aboard Disney Cruise Line very soon. Happy sailing!
Catherine
