Can i have a cot placed in my room for our daughter to sleep on? I have noticed that Disney resorts mostly offer double beds or 1 king size. What do you do if the adults desire/need a queen or king? Cots? Disney should accomodate ALL room needs.

Hi, Andrea!    Oh, if only we had our magic wands to create the perfect guest room at Walt Disney World!   There are so many different ideas we could all contribute, where is that Fairy Godmother when we need her?!

Actually, Disney does a wonderful job accommodating their guests.    They will do their best to meet your needs, especially if you need accessible accommodations.

Maybe this will help you:   Queen beds are available in many types of rooms:
-All-Star Music Family Suites (Value Resort) have a queen bed and 3 pull out sofa beds
-Coronado Springs (Moderate Resort) - rooms have 2 queen beds
-Deluxe Resorts have not only queen beds but many also have daybeds allowing for up to 5 guests per room.
-Port Orleans Riverside (Moderate Resort) has 2 doubles plus a pull-out trundle bed.

Cots/rollaway beds are not permitted in many of the rooms due to Fire Codes.   Rooms in the Value Resorts are only about 260 square feet, so to stay within code and for the comfort and safety of the guests, rollaway beds are not permitted.

The best thing you can do is find the resort that best suits your family, or perhaps check for an off-site property that might better fit your needs.   Good luck!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
