Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Michael. I'm so happy you stopped by and even happier to hear you have plans to attend
Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party! You and your son are sure to have a spook-tacular time.
My family and I just watched
Thor: Love and Thunder this weekend, and we really enjoyed it. I love that your son will be dressing up as Thor this Halloween season after watching the film! You ask a really great question. The
Costume Guidelines for Oogie Boogie Bash state that, "costumes may not contain any items that resemble (or could easily be mistaken for) an actual weapon." While Thor's Stormbreaker is used as a weapon in
Thor: Love and Thunder, I don't think it can be mistaken for an
actual weapon. I know that Guests who have dressed up as Thor for Oogie Boogie Bash have taken Mjolnir replicas into Disneyland California Adventure Park for the event in years past. For that reason, I think that taking a Stormbreaker replica as part of your son's costume would be just fine! That said, there is a chance that you could be told at the security checkpoint that this accessory is not permitted. If that happens, just be prepared to rent a locker to hold it until the party is over!
I hope this was helpful, Michael. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your visit to the
Disneyland Resort! We'd love to help you plan a magical trip.
Ashley
