Ahoy, Genevieve!
Welcome aboard planDisney! You’ve got a real treat in store—no tricks here—because a
Halloween on the High Seas sailing aboard the Treasure is like cruising through a cauldron of magic, mystery, and just the right amount of mischief! My crew and I recently sailed this enchanted vessel, and with three Halloween cruises under our belts, I can tell you—you’re in for one BOO-tiful adventure!
Now, entertainment and schedules are subject to change faster than Kuzco’s moods, but here’s the current plan from stem to stern:
Day 2 (At Sea) –
Formal NightTime to channel your inner Disney royalty—whether that’s stepping out like Tiana in her bayou best or showing up like Aladdin all cleaned up for the royal banquet. The Grand Hall shines extra bright on formal night, and with dazzling backdrops and character meet-and-greets, it’s a great time to capture memories more magical than Rapunzel’s lantern moment. Keep an eye on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for a possible Captain’s Welcome Reception (sometimes with sparkling sips and a chance to meet the ship’s leaders—no Genie required).
Day 4 (Tortola) –
Pirate NightShiver me timbers, it’s time for swashbucklin’ fun! Get ready to sail with the scurviest sea dogs this side of the Caribbean. Whether you go full Captain Barbossa or channel Redd from Pirates of the Caribbean, anything goes—so long as it's pirate-y! There’s usually a buccaneer bash on deck, pirate-y activities for the whole crew, and—if weather permits—a firework show at sea that’ll have you saying, “Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate’s life for me!”
Day 5 (St. Thomas) – Halloween on the High Seas
This is the night when the Sanderson Sisters would definitely approve! Get ready for Mickey’s Mouse-querade Party, trick-or-treating through the ship, spooky crafts, and more eerie-sistible surprises. Costumes are highly encouraged (but not required), and while they
must be family-friendly, wands, wings, and plastic pirate swords are totally fine. Think of it as a floating version of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party—with the bonus of a Caribbean breeze! Pro tip: Pack a costume that’s comfy and cool enough for dancing and candy collecting.
Day 6 (At Sea) – Semi-Formal Night
Not quite royal ball, but definitely worth dressing up a bit—this night is perfect for a snazzy outfit. Maybe go full Flynn Rider, or give a nod to Queen Anna’s travel gear—whatever makes you feel fab. It’s another ideal night for photos in the Grand Hall, especially if you want to capture the elegance of the evening before the cruise winds down.
And just to ease your mind: while these themed nights add a fun layer of pixie dust to your voyage, they’re totally optional. I’ve seen everything from Maleficent horns to Mickey tees on theme nights—there’s no wrong way to do Disney style at sea.
Genevieve, I hope this helps you pack like a pro and get even more excited for your journey aboard the Treasure! With dazzling destinations, spellbinding events, and that signature Disney magic around every corner, your cruise is sure to be a real tale as old as time—with maybe a pumpkin or pirate twist.
Sea ya real soon as May brings sunshine, magical ports, and maybe a Mickey bar or two,
Dustin
