Hello, Jessica!
Thank you for reaching out to planDisney. My family visited Walt Disney World Resort for a few days before sailing on the Disney Wish last year, and we had a great time! Visiting the theme parks and then sailing on a relaxing Disney Cruise was the best of both worlds!
We paid around $45 per Guest when we used
Disney Cruise Line transportation from Disney's Polynesian Village Resort to Port Canaveral. Our cost was also about $45 per Guest for our return transportation from Port Canaveral to the
Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport hotel. Prices are subject to change, which is why I recommend calling
Disney Cruise Line to verify prices for your cruise dates and to reserve your transportation. I highly recommend using Disney Cruise Line transportation. The process is very easy, and it is one less thing to worry about when you arrive in Orlando.
My family usually flies in at least one day before our Disney Cruise to avoid any travel issues. Staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel beforehand is the perfect way to begin your vacation! There are three different levels of hotels: value, moderate, and deluxe. My favorite value hotel is
Disney's Pop Century Resort because I love the retro theming, and being able to hop on the
Disney Skyliner from the hotel is so much fun! For moderates, I recommend
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter (yes to Mickey-shaped Beignets!) or
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort (yay for tropical vibes!). I also enjoy all of the deluxe resorts, although
Disney's Beach Club Resort and
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort are some of my favorites before embarking on a Disney Cruise!
Jessica, I hope your family has a wonderful vacation. Please contact planDisney again if you have additional questions!
Happy sailing!
Jen
