Hi, Keary! Welcome to planDisney.
The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort really is such a special place to stay. It's peaceful, woodsy, adventurous, and still just a boat ride away from
Magic Kingdom Park. There's nothing quite like hearing the crickets at night and waking up to the sounds of the campground coming alive.
I had to do some digging because I've never personally rented a tent or a cot. A lot of the information online was from a few years ago and so I checked with a couple of Cast Members to get you an up-to-date and accurate answer. And unfortunately, Disney no longer offers tent or cot rentals at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. If you want to camp, you'll need to bring your own tent and sleeping setup, or consider booking a
Cabin at Fort Wilderness, which comes with plenty of creature comforts (and air conditioning!).
Here's a tip: If you’re flying in or don’t want to pack a ton of gear, look into local companies that deliver camping equipment right to your campsite. Some even set everything up before you arrive. That way, you can still enjoy the full Fort Wilderness experience without hauling your own tent across the country!
Adventure is out there!
