    What is the cost per day to rent a golf cart?

    Hi Richard!

    There is only one place to rent a Golf Cart while at Walt Disney World besides the golf courses and that location is the great Fort Wilderness Resort. This is the largest resort on property and covers a lot of land. It is connected with internal buses so getting around is never a problem and you can always walk as there are continuous sidewalks. But why do that when you can have the fun to drive your own gold cart to get from one place to the other.

    If you budget allows the added expense you will be paying about $59 a day for a golf cart. This is for a four seater cart and they have just a few larger ones that would be more. Getting those are on a first come basis so you can't reserve the large ones ahead of time.

    It is important that you do make a golf cart reservation ahead of time by calling 407-824-2742. For many times especially weekends they will book up completely fairly early. So as soon as you make a decision about renting one please call and get your name on the books. When you check into Fort Wilderness you will do the paperwork for the carts and they will point the way where you will pick yours up. They are simple to use but only licensed drivers 16 and up are allowed to drive them. Children may not be on the lap of the driver and you must obey all signs and rules of the road. Each cabin or campsite will have outlets which will allow you to plug your cart in to keep the battery going strong. If something happens to your cart you can always call the Front Desk and they will bring you a new one. It is an added budget expense but one that you will certainly enjoy during your vacation.
