Hello there, Elvira. Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. I always love seeing a fellow North Carolinian here on the site.
Being only about 8 hours from Walt Disney World, I typically always drive down for my vacations too.
Parking at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks is a breeze. Standard theme park parking costs $25.00 per day, preferred parking costs $45-$50 per day and over-sized vehicles such as a camper or an RV costs $30.00 a day. If you plan on visiting multiple Walt Disney World Theme Parks in one day, save your receipt as you only need to pay one time per day. If you are staying at any of the
Disney Resort Collection Hotels or are an
Annual Passholder, parking is complimentary while you are visiting. If you plan to visit
Disney Springs while you are at Walt Disney World, parking in any of the three parking garages designated for Disney Springs is free of charge.
Parking lots at Walt Disney World open up anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 hour prior to each park opening. I like to be there right at 1 hour prior because sometimes there can be a line. When they open, you'll pay and then be directed to your parking space. Right now, to help promote physical distancing, trams are not being provided from your car to the front entrance of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. If you are arriving earlier in the day, this really isn't a big deal because you'll have such a close parking spot. I personally love using my own transportation to get around the Walt Disney World Resort. One thing I always do is keep a cooler of some bottled water in my car. After a long day in the Walt Disney World Theme Parks, it can feel like an even longer walk back to your car and it's nice to have some cold waters waiting for you when you return.
I hope this helps you budget for parking while you are at Walt Disney World, Elvira. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and
ask me. I'm here to help.
