Hi there, Barbara! I'm so glad you've dropped by
planDisney to chit-chat about your upcoming
Walt Disney World vacation. It's right around the corner. I bet you are getting so excited!
Barbara, I typically drive myself and park at the
Walt Disney World Theme Parks. I like having my own vehicle to go wherever, whenever I'd like. I find that the roads on Walt Disney World property are so easy to navigate - there's so much signage.
Standard parking at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks costs $25.00 per day. If you'd like to upgrade to a preferred parking spot, which is just a bit closer, that runs anywhere from about $45.00-$50.00 per day. If you'd like to leave that particular Walt Disney World Theme Park and come back later in the day or park hop to a different theme park, be sure to ask for a receipt. Your paid parking can transfer to any other Walt Disney World Theme Parks on the same day.
While you could technically park at
EPCOT and then use the complimentary transportation to get to either
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park or
Magic Kingdom Park, I think it would be so much easier for you to just drive straight to that particular theme park and park there. There isn't always direct park-to-park transportation so depending on the time of day, this would really be a hassle. What you would have to do is take transportation from Epcot to one of the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels and then switch buses to head over to the particular theme park you'd like to visit. This is going to take so much time up at the beginning of your day. Also, after a long day at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks, it can be tiring getting back to your vehicle and that's when it is in the same parking lot that you are in. You'd have to keep an eye on what time each theme park closes and I just think the trek back sounds like a lot. As I said, the Walt Disney World roads are so easy to navigate and even though you are staying close to EPCOT, I think it would take you much longer to park there and head to other parks than just driving to that particular park to start out.
I hope this helps you plan your day a little bit better, Barbara. If you have any other questions about this or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help.
Happy planning!
Jackie H.
