What is the cost for a ONE DAY ticket to Disney World with the military discount? Where can I purchase said ticket?

Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jennifer!

Walt Disney World Resort offers a variety of discounts for active and retired members of the U.S. Military. Its most popular options are the 4-day or 5-day Military Promotional Tickets, valid through Dec. 19, 2019. If you only have limited time to spend in the Theme Parks, though, there are tickets available for shorter visits. Typical Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park admission is date-based (meaning the price fluctuates depending on the day(s) you visit), but Military tickets are the same throughout the year. While prices are always subject to change, currently you will pay $119 for a single-day, single-park ticket purchased through your local military base or through the Shades of Green ticket office. You may also purchase your ticket at any Walt Disney World Resort ticket window or the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs, but you will pay sales tax in addition to the base cost of the ticket at those locations. Walt Disney World Resort tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable, and you must present a valid U.S. Military photo ID in order to activate tickets purchased with a Military discount. Prices and entitlements are always subject to change without notice.

If you only have a single day to spend at Walt Disney World Resort, I would encourage you to consider staying at an official Walt Disney World Resort hotel. After you’ve purchased your tickets (which you can also do via email at Shades of Green) and received your ticket numbers, you can link your tickets to your My Disney Experience account. Then, if you’re a Guest at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel (including Shades of Green), you can book your FastPass+ experiences up to 60 days in advance of your arrival. Combined with Extra Magic Hours, these perks are a great way to help maximize your limited time. Members of the U.S. Military can also save on Walt Disney World Resort hotel stays on select nights between now and Dec. 19, 2019, too!

Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help you as you plan your Walt Disney World Resort visit, Jennifer! We hope to see you real soon.
