Ahoy Doris!
As Moana would say: “See that line where the sky meets the sea? It calls me.” Sounds like Hawai'i is calling YOU, and I can totally understand the desire to visit the Aloha state on a Disney cruise.
Guests rejoiced when Disney Cruise Line announced voyages to Hawai'i for 2020. Currently, Disney Cruise Line has released
itineraries for cruises through December 2021 and sadly, Hawai'i was not included. But rather than dwell on where Disney Cruise Line ISN’T going, let’s focus on where the Disney Wonder DOES plan to set sail in 2021: Mexico, the Bahamas and Caribbean, Canada, Alaska, and the Panama Canal. My favorite ship in the Disney fleet also gets to set sail from some WONDERful ports of call, including San Diego, Galveston, Vancouver, and New Orleans. Having experienced New Orleans in February, I can say this new addition is a perfect fit for the theming of
Tiana’s Place and the
French Quarter Lounge, complete with a giant cable car!
But then again, Disney Cruise Line thinks like Walt Disney in that it keeps “moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things.” So there could be new destinations on the horizon OR Disney may return to Hawai'i in 2022 or beyond. We never know where that will be until the itineraries are released, and there is no set date when that will happen. So I'd suggest that you keep checking the
Disney Parks Blog and Disney Cruise Line where information will first be released. And fingers crossed that Hawai'i gets added back in the future!
In the words of Maui from
Moana, “You’re welcome” to come back to planDisney with more cruise itinerary questions. We like to think that “we know the way” when it comes to Disney Cruise Line...but if we don’t know the answer, we can research it for you!
SEA ya real soon!
