Hi Lisa! Welcome to planDisney!
You are on to something here! An afternoon spent at the spa sounds like the perfect change of pace to a Disney vacation! Between the miles that you end up walking and the long days spent at the parks, a day of relaxation is much needed. My family will usually spend the day at the resort pool while I try to fit in a round of golf at one of the pristine courses that Walt Disney World has to offer. A fishing excursion is another great option for Guests that have different hobbies and interests. You'll find both of these activities and many more as part of the
Enchanting Extras Collection.
Since the pricing for
Guided Fishing Excursions is not listed on the website, I decided to get in touch with a friendly Cast Member that specializes in Enchanting Extras. I learned that fishing excursions can only be booked up to 60 days in advance of your stay and pricing varies based on the date and time of day. Since your visit is not until the beginning of September, I was unable to get exact pricing for any boat option that is offered. I did have them check for a variety of days during the month of June just to get some idea of the pricing. Both the pontoon and NITRO bass boats are a set price no matter if you have one Guest or the maximum amount of Guests that the boat allows. The average price for a two-hour excursion is around $250 USD, not including any additional fees. Pricing is always subject to change and this is especially true since your trip is still a few months away.
The fishing excursions are available at a few locations around the Walt Disney World Resort! Depending where the spa is located may determine where your husband will want to fish. Fishing is offered in either the Magic Kingdom area or in the EPCOT area. There is something amazing and serene about being on Seven Seas Lagoon or Bay Lake relaxing while The
Magic Kingdom looms in the background. You have the option to book a two or four hour trip depending on how long you want to be out on the water.
Lisa, the process to make your reservation is very simple.
Call the Enchanting Extras line to speak with a Cast Member when the booking window becomes available. I may have been extremely lucky, but it seems when I called this line that the wait time was much less than it usually is.
Happy planning!
