    What is the cost of golf cart rentals at fort wilderness cabins? How far is the walk to catch the bus to the parks?

    Hey, Reggie! The folks at Fort Wilderness like to say that the campground is "one mile as the crow flies," but when you're walking from one end to the other, I would dare say that it's more like a mile and a half. Therefore, a golf cart and/or bicycles come in mighty handy for getting to and from the marina (to catch the boat to MK), the trading posts and The Outpost (to catch buses to parks and other resort areas).

    At the time of this posting, the golf carts cost $59 (+ tax) each and can be reserved up to one year in advance. Guests must be 18 years old to rent a cart, and the carts can seat up to four adults.

    Of course, it's going to depend on where your campsite or cabin is as to how far the walk is to catch the buses. There is an internal bus system which will take you to the major areas inside Fort Wilderness including the Disney bus transportation to the other parks (The Outpost).

    Depending on your needs (full RV hookups, tent, etc.), you can review the various sites and locations to determine where you would like to be by logging onto www.allears.net and searching for the fact sheet on Fort Wilderness.
