Is the cost of flights covered in the Travel Protection Plan? Is there 100% coverage if we can't make it on our trip?

    Hi David,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

From what I understand, the terms of your Travel Protection Plan for your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort may vary depending on your state of residence. Because of this, if you have any questions about what is and isn’t covered for your upcoming vacation and about the extent of your coverage (i.e. if only a portion of the cost is covered in the event of a claim), I would strongly suggest following the link I’ve included above, consulting the terms of your policy and contacting your insurance provider if that doesn’t help answer your question.

Please note that if you booked your flights on your own and not as part of your vacation package, it’s highly unlikely that they’ll be covered by Disney's plan, unless you purchased travel insurance coverage separately.

I hope my answer helps you better plan your trip and I sincerely hope that you never have to make an insurance claim for your vacation! Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you need any other Disney planning tips to help make your getaway extra magical.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
