Does it cost extra to get a key to the world card at check-in

    Hi, James! Welcome to planDisney.

Key to the World cards are one of the many ways you can access the magic during your trip. They act as your room key, theme park ticket, and even a way to charge purchases to your room. They make moving around the parks and resorts effortless! I always like to keep them as a memento of my trip. In my office at work, I have all my past Key to the World cards on display so that I can look at them every day and reminisce.

And here's the good news: there is no extra cost for a Key to the World card when you check in at a Disney Resort hotel. Every Guest receives one (or more, depending on your party size) as part of your stay.

Pro tip: Keep your Key to the World card handy, but if you're worried about losing it, you can also link your tickets and reservations to the My Disney Experience app or your MagicBand+. That way, you can still access your room, park tickets, and purchases digitally whilst having the card as a backup.

    Happy planning, James!
