Does it cost extra to go to the parks at night?

    Hi Derika,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Daytime, nighttime, and anytime in between, a Disney theme park experience is pure magic.  When you purchase your theme park tickets for any of the Walt Disney World theme parks, you'll enjoy a full-day of magic during that park's operating hours, including the attractions, entertainment and parades, and fireworks shows and spectaculars. And if you add the Park Hopper Option to your ticket, you can enjoy same-day admission to all 4 theme parks.

You can view the scheduled hours for each theme parks using the online calendar. The calendar will also show you when each of the theme parks schedule their Extra Magic Hours available for Guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort Hotels. Extra Magic Hours vary by park and by day and are offered in the morning and in the evening.

Magic Kingdom does offer a special purchased ticket event called Disney After Hours that gives Guests the opportunity to enjoy Magic Kingdom for 3 extra hours after the park's closing. In addition to Disney After Hours, there are other special purchased ticket events such as Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party where Guests can enjoy Magic Kingdom at night.

So with your Walt Disney World theme park admission, you can start your magic with the morning sun and finish your magic beneath the evening stars.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
