What is the most cost effective way to get a large group (2 families) to Disneyland? The trip would include 8 adults and 7 kids ( ages 18, 14, 10, 6, 3, 3 and 1 month.

Hello Eddie, thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

A family trip to the Disneyland Resort can be a splurge, but creating unforgettable memories with your loved ones doesn't need to cost an arm and a leg. I'm all about getting more "bang for my buck", but I'm also willing to splurge on a few extravagances by saving on certain aspects.

Here are a few tips for a cost effective way to enjoy the Disneyland Resort with a large party.

Lodging and Meal Planning: Look for large family suites with kitchenettes. There are many Good Neighbor Hotels with these features and you can find one that best fit your budget. Having a refrigerator and microwave in your room enables you to store perishables and make a quick, affordable breakfast before starting the day at the Parks.

Tickets: Park Hoppers are great and makes it easy to go back and forth between the parks. Upgrades for Park Hoppers range from $40-$56 per ticket. By forgoing the extra cost, you'll be able to enjoy each park at a leisurely pace.

I hope you'll find this information helpful in planning your upcoming trip to the Disneyland Resort. Please come back to visit me on the Panel if you have further questions!

    Have a magical day,
    Kiki

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes or Disney Cruise Line voyages with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
