What is the most cost effective way for a family of 10 to get to a Disney Hotel from the airport.

    Hi Howard,

    Welcome to planDisney!

Let me first give you a little extra pixie dust of patience as you plan a trip with a group of 10! If you are staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, and will not need a vehicle during your stay, I would suggest using a service like MEARS Connect. We typically use MEARS Connect or we call a ride share service like UBER or Lyft. MEARS Connect is easy to locate at the Orlando International Airport and you all should be able to ride together. Personally, I love having someone else do the driving!

Of course, you could always book a vehicle from a car service company but this may not be cost effective. My girls and I have an upcoming trip. On one day, we plan to do a college visit to a university in Florida, so I am renting a car from the Car Rental site at the Walt Disney World® Resort., driving us to do the tour, and then returning the car the next day or earlier if possible. With 10 people, however, you may need two vehicles.

If you choose to ride MEARS Connect, I would schedule pick up from the airport to the resort hotel and pick-up from the resort hotel to the airport on your return. Arrival at the Orlando International Airport is relatively easy. Just make your way down to the MEARS pick-up area. Be sure to grab any checked bags along the way. When it's time to return to the airport from the resort hotel, remember that your pick up time could be three hours or more from your flight's departure time.

Howard, with a group that size, I also strongly recommend that you make advanced dining reservations and use Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering. Each of these could save you valuable time in line for food. Once you get everyone to the resort hotel, be sure to also double-check the park hours and make sure everyone knows when the morning meet-up time is. If you have not yet considered it, purchase Memory Maker. You will want to capture these incredible memories!

    Magic and memories,
