Hello, Isabelle! Thanks for visiting planDisney with your question. Welcome!
It's a great idea to protect your investment with a
Disney Cruise Line Vacation Protection Plan. The cost for the plan varies, depending on the price of your cruise fare. You can expect the plan to be 8 percent of your cruise fare, excluding the cost of the taxes. The protection plan can only be added at the time of booking for Concierge staterooms, or from the time of booking till the final payment is made for all other stateroom types.
My pal Eean outlines what is covered with the Vacation Protection Plan in
her answer here. It's a nice feeling to know that you can have a backup plan in the unlikely scenario that your trip doesn't go as expected. If you have already paid for your cruise in full and are no longer eligible for the plan through Disney Cruise Line, it might not be too late to book travel insurance with another provider.
I'm wishing you smooth sailing with your travels and cruise ahead. Before leaving home, I encourage you to download (or update to) the latest version of the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Once you are onboard the ship, you scroll through the Daily Activity Schedule within the Navigator App and click the heart icon next to any activities that interest you. If you enable app notifications, you can receive a reminder notification about 15 minutes before these activities begin. That's usually enough time for me to finish an ice cream by the pool and head to the fun.
If you have additional questions, we'll be here for you! Sail back to us anytime.
Have a magical vacation,
Adrianna
