How much does it cost to character dine in PCH grill (breakfast) and Ariel's grotto (lunch) this May 2017? Does going to Downtown Disney District requires park admission? (We don't have hopper) Thanks.

Hello again, Laniline! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I have dined at both Disney's PCH Grill and Ariel's Grotto and enjoyed both experiences immensely!

At the Surf's Up! Breakfast with Mickey and Friends at Disney's PCH Grill, you will enjoy a breakfast feast with everything from Mickey waffles to smoked salmon. You will also get to meet Mickey and usually Minnie, Pluto, and even join Stitch for a dance party. Over at Ariel's Grotto, you will meet Ariel and a few of her princess friends while chowing down on some delectable seafood fare. Don't forget your autograph books as characters at both locations are more than happy to provide autographs. Prices for character dining are subject to change at any time, but currently breakfast at Disney's PCH Grill is around $21-$36 per person for breakfast, and lunch at Ariel's Grotto is in the $28-$48 range per person. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made up to 60 days in advance online or by calling (714) 781-3463.

If you want to enjoy shopping, entertainment, or dining in the Downtown Disney District, you can do so with no ticket required. This area is open to everyone and features some amazing shops and restaurants. My favorites are the WonderGround Gallery and Earl of Sandwich.

I hope you have a magical visit to the Disneyland Resort!
