Where can I get a cost breakdown for a booked trip to Disney World such as the cost of the room, the cost of the park tickets, the cost for the dining plan, the cost for the magic maker, and so on?

Hello there, Amy, and welcome to planDisney!

I’m so happy to meet you and even more excited to hear that you are looking to book a trip to Walt Disney World! It looks like you are also planning on visiting during the most magical time of the year. Oh Boy! You’re going to have the most magical time, I’m sure of it.

The easiest way to get a cost estimate is by planning out your visit online. I like to keep a notebook handy, too, but you can build a ‘cart’ online and compare up to three different vacation packages at a time. Let’s get started! To help save some money, I always start by checking out the current special offers page to see if there’s anything there that would work with the dates I’m trying to visit. I then recommend opening a different tab so that you can ‘Build Your Vacation’ off the homepage. You’ll want to follow the prompts by adding your dates and the number of adults and children who will be visiting. Tip: Keep the resort section as ‘All Resort Hotels’ unless you have a resort in mind. I like to see all the available resorts and their price listed to help select where my family will be staying.

After you’ve selected your resort and room, you’ll find yourself on the next page, which will allow you to customize your theme park tickets. This customization includes the number of days and ticket type, such as 1 park per day or a Park Hopper ticket. After selecting your ticket type, click on ‘continue’ at the bottom of the page, where you will be given the option to add a dining plan and see the cost of each dining plan option beside it. Select the option you wish to add and once again click ‘continue’. This final click will lead you to your cart, where you can add Memory Maker to see the total cost. At the bottom of that page, you’ll see the option to ‘save cart’. I recommend saving and then repeating the process with a different resort or ticket type, so that you can weigh your options.

Amy, I hope this helps kick-start your planning process. You also have the option of completing all these steps on the phone with a Cast Member as well. All you have to do is call the Walt Disney World Resort, and a Cast Member will be more than happy to help price out and book your vacation. Hakuna Matata, there’s help every step of the way! If you have any other questions, please let us know, we’re all ears!

Happy booking and see ya real soon,

    Shantel

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
