Hi there! Does it cost to have bell services hold your luggage for you if you arrive before your room is ready? Thanks!

    Welcome to planDisney, Julie!

Thank you for stopping by to ask us your question about the Walt Disney World Resort. I bet you’re getting excited for the adventures ahead, especially if this will be your first stay at The Most Magical Place on Earth!

You’re welcome to check in at your Disney Resort hotel anytime on your arrival day and store your luggage with Bell Services until your room is accessible. They’ll count your items and give you a claim ticket with a number that you’ll use to have your belongings brought to your room once you’re settled. I usually take a picture of it for peace of mind just in case the paper copy gets lost!

There is no additional set fee for storing your luggage, but please keep in mind that tipping is customary when getting assistance from Bell Services. How much you tip is up to your own discretion. When a Cast Member handles my luggage, like storing it or bringing it up to my room, I typically tip $1 to $2 in cash per bag depending on how heavy or cumbersome they are.

I hope this helps you make plans, Julie. If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to visit us again!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
