How much would it cost to add a dining plan with characters to my reservation

    Hello there, Rhonda!

Welcome back to planDisney. We're so glad to see you've returned with another fantastic Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question! It looks like you're counting down the days until your next enchanting escape to The Most Magical Place on Earth. I'd be honored to help you prepare for some memorable meals during your upcoming vacation!

Rhonda, if you've booked a vacation package that includes theme park tickets and a Disney Resort hotel reservation, you can choose to add either the Disney Dining Plan or the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan. Since you've mentioned you hope to dine with Disney Characters during your visit, you'll want to look into the Disney Dining Plan, as this plan would include one Table-Service meal per night of your stay. The cost to add the Disney Dining Plan will vary based on the specifics of your booking, but, in my experience and at this time, this plan usually ends up costing around $60 per person per night. For the tremendous value and convenience the Disney Dining Plan offers Guests, I'd say that's a steal!

You may be able to add the Disney Dining Plan to your vacation package online. To check, tap the My Disney Experience tab on the Walt Disney World Resort website. Scroll down and locate your Disney Resort hotel reservation, then select "Change Reservation." You may see the option to add a dining plan here. If not, no worries (Hakuna Matata!) - just give the friendly Cast Members at the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations phone line a call. They'll be able to assist you with adding the dining plan to your existing booking, as long as it's eligible!

Guests can make dining reservations up to 60 days before their arrival, Rhonda. That means you're eligible to book dining reservations for your upcoming trip right now! Once you have some ideas of Disney Character dining experiences you'd enjoy during your visit, I recommend you hop on the Walt Disney World Resort website or the My Disney Experience mobile app and get booking right away. I wouldn't want you to miss out on all the magical moments in store with your favorite Disney pals!

I hope you've found this information helpful, Rhonda, and I wish you a vacation filled with unforgettable memories. If you have any additional questions before your upcoming trip, you're always welcome to revisit us right here at planDisney! We're all ears.

    See ya real soon,

    Lauren
