I see Coronado Springs is divided into three themed areas for their rooms. How does that work is one Standard and one preferred and one lake? Or is it mixed. If you had a wand which would you pick and why. How many floors at each. Thank you for your help.

    Hi Chris,

Preferred rooms at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort are the ones located closest to either El Centro (the main building where the Pepper Market Food Court, Panchito's Gifts & Sundries (the gift shop), and the check-in desk are found), the Dig Site (main feature pool), or transportation depots.  With a preferred room, you can request to be close to any of these three options.

If I were to stay at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, I would request a room in either the Casitas (building 1) or the Cabanas (building 9B) as they are closest to El Centro.  The Ranchos, in my opinion, are a lovely section of the resort but they are too far away from El Centro for my liking.

Call the resort at (407) 939-1000 to make your room request.  The Cast Members who assign rooms will do everything in their power to grant your request.

Have a blast at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort and be sure to have some tasty Mexican food for me at the Pepper Market!
