At Coronado resort, is casita building 2 all prefered rooms? Where is closest place to stay to the Mercado without doing a preferred room?

    Welcome to planDisney, Nancy!

I am so glad to hear you are planning a visit to Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. This is one of my favorite Disney Resort hotels! There are some incredible dining options, a fabulous feature pool, and the upbeat Spanish vibes make this the perfect place to take a mid-afternoon break or enjoy a great lounge at the end of a long day.

Buildings one, two, and three of the Casitas are all traditionally categorized as Preferred Location rooms. If you are looking to stay close to El Mercado de Coronado and booked a Standard View location, requesting building four in the Casitas, or building 8B in the Cabanas, will be fairly close to the center of the resort. I do want to mention that while this resort is on the larger side, the walk to the center of the resort from any location is very scenic and only takes a few minutes. There are also bus stops conveniently located in each section of the resort, so no need to worry about a long walk after returning from your favorite park.

One of the best spots to grab a bite at this resort (and at Walt Disney World) is Three Bridges Bar and Grill. The food is great, the views are beautiful, and they are open later than most resort dining locations. Stopping by after park closing for a cocktail and the Trio of Dips is a fabulous end to a great day!

I hope your upcoming adventure is magical!
