Are cooling gaitors are ok for a mask. If needed I will cut ear loops which is kind of dumb because the gaiters provide more complete coverage that an ear loop mask. But my kids will keep them on if they are at least cooling

    Hello, Frank,

Thank you for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I'm so happy to hear that you are planning a trip to Walt Disney World, which is Returning to a World of Magic. While Walt Disney World will still be a wonderful destination, it will look a little different with new safety features added to keep both guests and cast members healthy and safe.

One of the new requirements is that all cast members and guests (age 2 and up) need to wear face coverings except for when dining or swimming. The face coverings must be secured with ties or ear loops. I called Guest Relations and spoke to a cast member who shared that if you are able to use the fabric and make a traditional face covering that has ties or ear loops that cover the mouth and nose, it should be acceptable. An unmodified gaiter mask is not considered an appropriate facial cover. By the way, there are some great Disney-themed face masks available online if you'd like to take a look at those.

Before you arrive, you will want to make sure and visit the Disney Park Pass system to secure your theme park reservations.  I'd also encourage you to download the My Disney Experience app on a mobile device so you can use the Online Resort Check-In and Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering to save time.  There is even an Unlock Door feature available through the app!

Wishing you a magical trip.  Please let us know if you have any further questions. -Kara
