Are coolers allowed at Animal Kingdom?

    Hi Veronica!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Disney's Animal Kingdom is such a beautiful theme park. The park is such an amazing and unique experience where you are completely immersed in the magic. Every time I visit, I am amazed at how I can travel between Asia, Africa and Pandora - The World of Avatar to enjoy each area's unique offerings. Be sure to plan to stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom after dark because all of the details in the park really come alive at night!

Guests are allowed to bring a cooler into the theme parks, including Disney's Animal Kingdom, provided the cooler is smaller than 24" (61 cm) long x 15" (38 cm) wide x 18" (46 cm) high. You are free to bring a cooler with our without wheels, as long as it is smaller than the allowable dimensions. When packing your cooler, be sure that you don't bring any glass containers or any alcohol. Also, Disney's Animal Kingdom does not allow balloons or plastic straws to protect the animals in the park. If you would like to store your cooler during the day, you can rent a locker at the front of the theme park or near Kali River Rapids. If your cooler is required for medication, you also have the option of storing it at Guest Relations.

Please let us know if you have additional questions as you continue planning your trip. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
