Can I take a cooler into the parks?

    Hi, there!

Welcome to planDisney, Jane. It sounds like you're planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! How exciting.

You'll be pleased to know that you may take a cooler into the theme parks as long as it is no larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high. Please note that you may not put loose or dry ice in the cooler as they are not permitted in the theme parks. Re-usable ice packs or bagged ice are just fine, though!

My family always packs a cooler with drinks and snacks before we leave our Disney Resort hotel room for an adventure-filled day in the theme parks. I've found that a soft-sided cooler is more comfortable to carry throughout the day. I'm always especially glad to have it on hand when we have leftovers after a meal at one of our favorite restaurants. We just toss the to-go containers into our cooler and take them back to our room to enjoy again later!

Be sure to review the "Know Before You Go" information on the Walt Disney World Resort website prior to your visit. It has lots of useful information to help you prepare for a visit to "The Most Magical Place on Earth!"

Thanks for stopping by, Jane. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
