Hi Karen,
Oh boy this is a PERFECT question for me! I can tell you and everyone who will listen that Disney is for every age, it's magical, the memories you make are incredible, it's worth every penny, you can find something for every person's personal taste...they may not believe me, but it would all be the truth!
I love you so much for trying to make this dream come true for your Mamaw! You go ahead and tell your family that Mamaw deserves to get her wish to visit Disney World. It can be done and it has been done; by ME. I took my 81 year old mother, who was a very sick lady, to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in a wheelchair that had an oxygen tank strapped to it. If my diabetic, heart and kidney failure mom could go and enjoy it - so can Mamaw! I will NEVER forget my mom riding Pirates of the Caribbean and telling me how that had been my dad's favorite. Please know that if you need it,
Wheelchairs and Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs) are available for rental on a first come, first served basis.
Disney World most certainly takes into account every single one of their Guests. They have accommodations in place to help their Guests with disabilities too. Please look at the
link that I've attached for more information.
Remember what Walt Disney himself said..."If you can dream it, you can do it". Wishing you and Mamaw a magical and memorable trip to Walt Disney World. If you need any other questions answered, please don't hesitate to ask:)
