How can I convert an old paper ticket to my magic band? We need to make reservations for November and have an old park hopper without an expiration date from 1984. Thank you. When is Epcot Food and Wine this fall?

    Hey there, Heather!

Thanks so much for coming to see us here at planDisney! I'm excited for you that you're making plans for your November trip to Walt Disney World Resort. Everyone here at planDisney loves sharing their tips from their own Disney travel experiences as a way to help you plan, so if you are looking for suggestions and recommendations, just ask away.

First off, let me say "way to go!" for looking to make your Walt Disney World Resort theme park reservations through the Disney Park Pass system. To make your theme park reservations, you'll want to make sure that your theme park tickets are linked to your My Disney Experience account.

In your case, Heather, if you still have a theme park ticket that you purchased with the No Expiration Option, you should be good to go to link that ticket to My Disney Experience. You can take a look at the Theme Park Tickets or Passes page where you'll see samples of all the various types of theme park tickets and where to locate the ticket ID number that you'll need to link your ticket. If your ticket has a purchase date that is prior to 2010, you'll want to speak to a Cast Member with the Walt Disney World Internet Help Desk by calling (407) 939-4357 to get assistance in linking your ticket.

After your tickets are linked, you can make your theme park reservations using the Disney Park Pass system. I always recommend checking out the Theme Park Reservation Availability tool to make sure that the theme parks you want to visit have reservation availability on the dates you want to visit.

Heather, I think you're picking a great time to visit Walt Disney World Resort. You'll be visiting during “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” to mark the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort, and that's simply so exciting! While I don't have details to share for the Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, I encourage you to follow the Disney Parks Blog to get news and updates on all the magic that awaits you. I also invite you to follow my fellow planDisney Panelists on social media to see their tips and recommendations for planning all your Walt Disney World Resort fun.

Heather, here's wishing you a fabulous and fantastic Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
