How can I convert a child's ticket to an adult's ticket in advance to my trip to Disney World in December?

    Season's greetings, Danny!

Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for stopping by with your Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. It's great to hear that you'll be visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth during the most wonderful time of the year! Danny, I'm here to help you prepare for a holly-jolly holiday visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. Let's sort out your ticket troubles and get you on your way to a very merry vacation!

It sounds like you've purchased a theme park ticket for a Guest between ages 3-9 and you'd like to upgrade the ticket to be used by a Guest age 10+. Not to worry, Danny! Many theme park ticket upgrades can be made using the My Disney Experience mobile app. Once you've logged into your Disney account in the app, tap the three horizontal lines icon in the bottom right corner. Then, navigate to "Tickets and Passes" and toggle to the theme park ticket you're hoping to modify. Do you see the option to "Change Ticket?" If so, you may follow the prompts to complete the ticket upgrade and submit payment for the price difference between the "child" and "adult" tickets!

Danny, if you don't see the modification option in the mobile app, your ticket type may not be eligible for upgrades, or the upgrade might have to be completed over the phone. If this is true, I encourage you to reach out to the friendly Cast Members at the Existing Tickets phone line for assistance. Keep in mind that the price difference between the two tickets must be paid at the time the upgrade is made, and the new ticket will need to be assigned to the Guest planning to use it!

I ho-ho-hope you've found this information helpful, Danny. I'm wishing you a festive and fun-filled vacation in The Most Magical Place on Earth! Be sure to enjoy all the special holiday offerings this December, from the sensational seasonal décor to the many magnificent treats. If you have the chance during your stay, I highly recommend visiting the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. This annual winter festival celebrates holiday traditions around the world, and the Holiday Cookie Stroll is sure to delight Guests with a sweet tooth (like me)!

If you have any additional planning questions, please feel free to stop back by planDisney again anytime. We're here to help you make magical memories during your time at the Walt Disney World Resort!

    Happy holidays,
