Hi there, Vito, and welcome to planDisney!
Thanks for stopping by to ask me this question. It is my pleasure to share how I conveniently use my digital Disney Gift Cards. This is one of my favorite ways to make purchases at Walt Disney World Resort--and beyond!
You have a few options to make using your digital Disney Gift Card as easy as possible. You could take a screenshot of the barcode that is included with the digital gift card, save it to your favorites or another easily accessible album in your phone, and show that to the Cast Member to scan. You can also print the barcode if you prefer to have it on paper.
If you have the email for the digital gift card, there is a link at the bottom of the email that says "Add to Apple Wallet" or "Save to Phone" (Google Pay). This is a great option if you'd like to pay using your mobile wallet.
As another option, you could buy a physical Disney Gift Card of any value and add it to your "My Cards" section of your account on
disneygiftcard.com. Also add your current digital card's information to the site. From there, you can transfer funds to the physical card (no more than $1000 can be on a card at one time). Then, you can swipe at the locations around property, just as you can with any debit or credit card.
Even better news? If you ever need to use
Mobile Order for food purchases during your trip, you can pay for those meals using your Disney Gift Card, but you'll need to enter the card information every time. My friends and I like to save the information in a Notes app and copy and paste it into the
My Disney Experience App when ordering.
AN EXTRA GEM: Disney Gift Cards can be used at the theme parks, many
Disney Springs restaurants and shops, and even online at
shopdisney.com. So, if you have any funds still left on the gift card once you've arrived back home in Michigan, you can still make purchases. Or transfer the funds to a future physical or digital gift card.
I hope that you found this information helpful, Vito. If you have additional questions, I'm just
a click away here at planDisney. Happy planning!
Magic always,
LeAndra
