How convenient are the buses within Fort Wilderness campground (ex: from the cabins to the pool) and do you have to wait long to get a bus?

    Hi Dorothy!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

I think Fort Wilderness is a wonderful place to stay, especially if you are going to do some of the great activities located right there at the campground.  The buses on the internal bus system run pretty often and I don't think I've ever had to wait more than 15 minutes for a bus.  Still that can be a long time, especially on a hot and humid summer day.

When my family goes to Fort Wilderness, we stay in a cabin and have a rental car to make getting around Walt Disney World easier.  We also rent a golf cart to make getting around Fort Wilderness a lot easier.  However, neither is required.  I'm kind of impatient and don't like waiting at bus stops; however, other guests are completely happy to leave the driving to Disney.  Thus I don't think there is a good answer regarding how convenient the buses are; I think it really comes down to personal preference.

I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for you, but please write back with more questions!
