Does the Contemporary share a bus with another hotel for transportation to AK, HS, and Disney Springs or does it have its own bus? If it does share, is the Contemporary the first or second stop? Thanks for your help!

    Hello Kevin,

It sounds like you have a special vacation planned to the Walt Disney World Resort! Our family loves staying at the Contemporary Resort. During our last visit, the bus transportation to Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Disney Springs was shared with Bay Lake Tower. I just called Guest Services and the representative I spoke with confirmed that, as of today, the bus service to those areas is shared with Bay Lake Tower. Currently, guests at the Contemporary Resort and Bay Lake Tower share the same bus stop. Keep in mind that bus service can change, so please feel free to check with us again any time.

During our most recent stay at the Contemporary Resort, the bus service to Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom took no more than 30 minutes. But traffic can be an issue, so I always advise guests to allow themselves at least 45 minutes to get from the Contemporary to Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, or Disney Springs. If you have dining reservations at either of those locations, give yourself at least an hour. Luckily, the bus area at the Contemporary Resort is fairly easy to access and buses run regularly. The bus stop is just out in front of the resort to the right as you exit.

The Contemporary Resort is also lovely because you will have access to the monorail for Magic Kingdom and EPCOT and Magic Kingdom is within walking distance. We are always thrilled to have so many transportation options.

As you may know, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Disney Springs all have excellent restaurants. Be sure to make your Dining Reservations in advance if you have not done so already! Reservations can fill quickly and it is not always possible to walk-in and get served.

I do hope you have a magical stay!
