We are contemplating staying at Contemporary because of the monorail or Port Orleans Riverside. Where are the monorail stops at Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Trying to figure out if riding the monorail or bus is closer to main park entrance

Hi Cheryl! The monorail stops for both the Magic Kingdom and Epcot are approximately the same distance from the front gates as the bus stops are at both Parks. It's a difference of maybe a few steps in different directions.

Both of the Resorts that you are considering have their own "selling points". Staying at the Contemporary, you can actually walk to the Magic Kingdom. It's about a 10-15 minute leisurely stroll. In addition, it is just a short monorail ride from MK and EP. You will, however, need to ride the bus transportation from the Contemporary to the Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, the Water Parks and Dowtown Disney. Some of the rooms at the Contemporary offer views of the Magic Kingdom...having Cinderella's Castle out your window is pretty darned cool.

Port Orleans Riverside offers a relaxing boat ride to Downtown Disney, which is neat. You'll need to utilize Disney's bus system to access all of the Theme/Water Parks from that Resort.

Hope this helps your decision making and that you have a Magical vacation.
